I’m never surprised to read stories like the one published in the Chronicle Herald today (Former teen property king rebuilds) profiling a young entrepreneur who at age 19 won accolades for his business savvy and yet, three years later filed for bankruptcy. Big risks can reap big rewards…or bigger losses. It’s surprising how many young entrepreneurs end up on the doorstep of trustees to reorganize their business within the first few years of opening their doors. What was interesting about this particular article was not that the entrepreneur failed in the past, but rather that he is reinventing himself again and I’ll bet he learned quite a bit from his past that will assist him in his future. He’s most certainly recognized that there is life after bankruptcy.
